APC Monitoring

APC-WatchTM– Air Pollution Control – Watch
- ESP, FGD, SCR, and SNCR are widely used for air pollution control purposes and our industries spend billions of dollars every year on APC equipment to reduce emissions under more and more stringent federal and state laws and Consent Decrees. Even though the end results are measured at the exhaust by federally certified systems, the efficiency of the APC equipment is often questioned by the plant operators and owners since it directly impacts operating costs and their bottom line.
- APC-Watch™ is exclusively designed for this purpose. APC-Watch™ incorporates two field input nodes for emission readings. One node is located at the inlet of the APC equipment while another is located at the outlet. APC-Watch™ calculates pollutant removal percentage and APC efficiencies.
- APC- Watch™ can monitor a wide variety of parameters including, but not limited to, SO2, NOx, O2, NH3 slip, and dust. APC vendors and plant owners use these data points to monitor equipment performance and help schedule maintenance. Many states require this efficiency data in the source’s operating permits.
