Combustion Optimization

TEFSTM– Turbine Emission Feedback System
- Turbine combustion is a controlled process. By carefully balancing fuel flow, air mixing ratio, firing temperature, and other parameters, our clients can achieve the maximum megawatt outputs at the lowest emission level.
- TEFS™ is the most critical piece of this effort. We provide emission feedback to the turbine control system on NOx, CO, O2, and other optional readings. Our unique system design provides fast response, easy maintenance and high availability features.
BCFSTM– Boiler Combustion Feedback System
- Boiler combustion efficiency has a direct impact on the emission level and fuel usage. Boilers can fire wood, waste, coal, gas, or oil. To ensure complete combustion of the fuel used, combustion chambers are supplied with excess air. Excess air increases the amount of oxygen and the probability of combustion of all fuel. The boiler combustion is stoichiometric, when fuel and oxygen in the air are perfectly balanced.
BCFS™ monitors, in the flue gas, CO, CO2, O2, and Temperature (both ambient and stack) and provides those parameters to DCS/ICS on a feedback loop to ensure the most efficient combustion.
